To every thing there is a season. Turn the page.

We are on this journey of life, and the ups and downs can give us nausea. Or make us feel exhilarated to be alive.

The simple joys have kept my hopes up in the in between moments. Like the two cats me and my wife own now. Like the peace of looking over the balcony out the back of our small studio apartment. Like the short day trips to the bay area to cool off and absorb the culture epicenter where the coolest architecture resides next to ocean waves.

The simple structures in building a solid life with my wife has given us hope in scary political climates, and has given us grounding in finding our way closer than ever before to each other and our families. Like prayer. Like taking small leaps of generosity and friendliness. Like realizing that if we don’t let trouble affect us personally, the chain link of the troubled spirits stops with us and with God’s help.

There is much to do and learn still, whatever lies before us in this crossroads of election day. Hope is still here, and even if the stability that holds things together is shattered on some things, the faith of God will keep us safe in the more important, eternal things that hold our inner peace close in His loving arms.

God bless and thank you for being you, we all need diversity, we all need to learn from each other, we all need to help one another live to the fullest.

Live with passion.
